This policy describes how Boat Bros ATX (“Boat Bros,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use boatbrosatx.com, book a trip, sign a waiver, contact us, or when our staff connects Gmail so marketplace bookings can appear on our calendar.

Information we collect
- Booking and contact details you give us: name, email, phone, party size, trip date and time, boat or experience, notes, and payment status.
- Payment data is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Waiver information if you sign a digital waiver (name, signature, and related trip details).
- Messages you send through our contact form, email, or phone.
- Website usage such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location via Google Analytics, cookies, and similar tools.
- Staff accounts for people who log into the Boat Bros admin tools.
Gmail access (marketplace booking sync)
Our admin app can connect the Boat Bros Gmail inbox (boatbrosllc@gmail.com) with read-only Gmail access. We use this only to find booking emails from Boatsetter, Getmyboat, and Viator and to create, update, or cancel matching trips on the Boat Bros calendar.
- We do not use Gmail contents for advertising, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.
- We do not send email as you through this connection (read-only).
- Staff may see parsed booking fields (guest name, phone, trip time, payout) in the admin calendar. We do not use Gmail as a general inbox scraper.
- You can disconnect Gmail anytime in Admin → Marketplace sync.
How we use information
- Run charters, confirmations, reminders, waivers, and customer support.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Keep the website and admin calendar working.
- Understand which pages people visit so we can improve the site.
Who we share with
We share information only as needed to operate the business, including:
- Stripe (payments)
- Google (website analytics; Gmail if an admin connects the inbox; Google sign-in for OAuth)
- Firebase / Google Cloud (hosting our booking database)
- Brevo (transactional email)
- Captains and staff who need trip details to run the boat
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage for the site to function (for example checkout and admin login) and for analytics. You can control cookies in your browser; some features may not work if they are blocked.
Retention
We keep booking, waiver, and related records as long as needed to run trips, handle disputes, and meet tax or legal duties. Gmail messages stay in Gmail; we store the booking records we create from those emails.
Your choices
Email info@boatbrosatx.com to ask for a copy, correction, or deletion of information we hold, subject to records we must keep. You can also opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link if we send any.
Children
Our website is not directed at children under 13. Guests under 18 book with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing.
Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
